Family Treatment

The strength of the family unit has long been associated with the psychological health and well-being of all its members. However, unforseen stressors such as marital separation, divorce, addiction, etc.. can leave families fractured and individual members isolated. Over time, families can begin to fall into and replicate negative relationship patterns that further the divide.

In family psychotherapy, relationships take center stage. The family unit as a whole becomes the "patient" as the therapeutic process collaboratively identifies, new, healther ways of relating to one another. By the end of treatment, families are well practiced in maintaining the gains they have accomplished in family therapy and oftentimes continue to improve even after treatment has ended.
